News on Safer Streets Northamptonshire

Welcome to Safer Streets Northamptonshire . On 23 May 2020 the Emergency Active Travel Fund was announced by the Secretary of State as part of the work to support the COVID-19 lockdown adjustment. The emergency grant funding for cycling and walking infrastructure is in 2 tranches:

Indicative funding allocations were announced by the Department for Transport on 29 March 2020. In Northamptonshire, £351,000 was announced for temporary projects in tranche 1 and £1.403 million for the permanent schemes associated with tranche 2.
